Sinetech expands product offering

December 2011, Sinetech was appointed as a distributor of Morningstar Solar Controllers for Southern Africa. Sinetech have been frontrunners for 15 years in the provision of solar power solutions in South Africa whether for small domestic applications, medium sized warehouse/factory roof top installations or for 75MW solar parks for the IPPs (Independent Power Producers).

Due to the constantly increasing demand for small and medium size solar systems with more specialised requirements, Sinetech has decided to incorporate the full range of solar controllers and accessories produced by MORNINGSTAR (USA). The incorporation of this range will provide consumers with a comprehensive choice.

The new range offers solar controllers for very small solar installations starting at 5 Amps, supporting either 1 x 80W or 2 x 40W solar panels, all the way up to fairly large solar installations of 60 Amps or multiples thereof. The smaller units are available in Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) technology and are equipped with many useful features. The larger Controller systems are either available in PWM format or in a Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) version. All PWM controllers are far more efficient and much more accurate than standard controllers. In the MPPT format, these controllers can generate up to 30% more power than standard controllers. This entire controller range is ideal for the tough African environmental conditions and they are exceptionally reliable.

The SHS Solar Controller range was designed to meet the economic needs of rural developing markets, using the latest technology and fully automated production, resulting in reliable and constant quality at very low cost. The SHS range of controllers is available in 6 or 10 amps/12V.
