Doug is an engineering graduate of London University and undertook postgraduate studies in Germany. Over a long career in the power sector, he headed the engineering division o fEskom's Generation Group for five years, comleting the Majuba Power Station in Eskom's last expansion programme. In Eskom Enterprises he worked on projectes in Africa, India and China. After eaving Eskom, he joined a Hong-Kong-based company acquiring assets in the power sector of China. He returned to South aFrica and headed IPSA Group PLC's operations, leaving in February 2009 to become an independent power consultant. He is also MD of the SA Independent Power Producers Association (SAIPPA).

Ayanda Myoli worked as an engineer at Sasol from 1990 to 1993 whenhe joined Koeberg nuclear power station as a mechanical maintenance manager until 2999. After working with SA Breweries and Nieces he became CEO of ARECSA Human Captial, a joint venutre between the SA Nuclear Energy Corporation and AREVA, the French nuclear company, for skills development for the South African Nuclear industry. More recently he was a consultant to the Department of Science and Technology and in Apriol 2010 was appointed CEO of the Nuclear Industry Association of South Africa.
He holds a BSc in mechanical engineering from the University of Cape Town and an MBL from Unisa

On 20 April 2010, the Deepwater Horizon drilling unit exploded in the Gulf of Mexico. The subsequent oil spill seriously impacted the environment. Commentators suggested that green project management could have prevented the disaster, made it easier to repair, or allowed key parties to communicate better.

Enoch Godongwana was born in the Eastern Cape and educted at St John's College in Umtata, where he matricultated. After being involved in various political structures within the ANC, he became a member of the National Union of Metal Workers of South Africa (Numsa) in 1983. He was General Secretary of Numsa from 1994 to 1997. He also served the labour movement in various capacities such as shop steward, local organiser, regional secretary and national organiser.
He has served in the various spheres of government under the ANC banner and was appointed Deputy Minister of Public Enterprises in May 2009. He holds a Master's degree in financial economics from London University.

Swiss injection to boost energy efficiency
South Africa and the Swiss Confederation have signed an energy efficiency agreement that will bring a major boost to government energy-efficiency programmes.
The agreement on the Energy Efficiency Monitoring Project entails the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation funding a R120-million climate change mitigation programme in South Africa.
